Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Concierge Compass ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Concierge Compass mobile app (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this policy.

Questions? Contact us at info@concierge-compass.com.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), your username, and any optional profile details you add (avatar image, bio).

• Content you create — trips, destinations, dates, activities, itineraries, saved places, packing lists, destination wishlists, and any documents you upload (e.g. boarding passes, hotel confirmations, tickets).

• Location — if you grant permission, your device location is used to show places near you. You can decline or revoke this in your device settings; location is not stored on our servers beyond the request.

• Subscription information — whether you have an active subscription. Payments are processed by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat); we do not collect or store your payment-card details.

• Diagnostics — limited crash and error reports (via Sentry) to keep the App stable. These include a technical error trace and your user ID, but not your password or session tokens.

• Usage analytics — which screens you open and which features you use (for example creating a trip or viewing the subscription screen), linked to your account ID so we can improve the App. See section 6.

• Advertising data — if you use the free version, our advertising partner may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, and general device and usage information to show and measure ads. See section 5.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to: provide and sync your trips and saved data across your devices; power features you request (maps, place search, AI trip suggestions, weather); manage your account and subscription; understand how the App is used so we can improve it; show ads in the free version; respond to support requests; keep the App secure; and comply with our legal obligations.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the App), based on your consent (e.g. location, optional features), to pursue our legitimate interests (security, improving the App), and to comply with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third parties to operate the App. They process data only as needed to provide their service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, and backend functions (hosts your account and content).

• Google Maps Platform — place search, autocomplete, maps, geocoding, and place photos.

• OpenAI — generates AI trip and activity suggestions from the prompt you provide (sent via our server).

• RevenueCat and Apple — subscription management and payment processing.

• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.

• PostHog — product usage analytics (see section 6).

• Google AdMob — advertising in the free version of the App (see section 5).

• Open-Meteo — weather forecasts (we send only coordinates, no personal data).

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Advertising

The free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, approximate location derived from it, and general device and usage information. Google’s use of this data is described in its advertising privacy policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before serving personalised ads and you can change your choice at any time from the consent message. Everywhere else you can limit ad personalisation and tracking on your device via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and reset or disable your advertising identifier in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Premium subscribers do not see ads.

6. Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the App is used — for example which screens are opened, which features are tried, and where people stop during setup — so we can improve it. These events are linked to your account ID and include basic device information (device model, OS version, app version). They do not include the content of your trips, documents, or notes. PostHog processes this data on our behalf on servers in the United States. We do not sell analytics data.

7. Content you choose to share

Some features are social. If you share a trip publicly or mark it visible, your trip details and your public profile (username, avatar) may be visible to other users on the Explore feed or via a share link. Trips that have ended may be listed publicly unless you set them to private. You control this from your profile and can make any trip private at any time.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content from our systems (some limited records may be retained where required by law). Backups are rotated on a regular cycle.

9. Your rights

You can access and update most data directly in the App. You can also:

• Export your data — Settings → Export My Data.

• Delete your account and data — Settings → Delete Account.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to rectification, restriction, objection, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. To exercise any right, contact info@concierge-compass.com.

10. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, row-level access controls so each account can only reach its own data, and secure storage of your session on your device. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age required to consent in your country (at least 13, or 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App.
